Personalized Nutrition: Are We There Yet?

Dr. Sarah Berry joins us to talk about the personalized nutrition, also known as precision nutrition.

This episode sheds light on why two people can respond very differently to the same foods, and shares the emerging science that is helping us understand how to optimize our diets. We discuss three key factors that influence our response to food, and, ultimately, our health: who we are, what we eat, and when we eat.

Dr. Berry is an Associate Professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at King’s College London. Her research focuses on precision nutrition, postprandial metabolism, and the structure of food. She is also the lead nutritional scientist at Zoe, a personalised nutrition company. Zoe runs the world’s largest nutrition-science study, called PREDICT, to understand the complex relationship between food and health.
